In the summer months Southern Europe takes on the colour of violet. From June to August lavender is in bloom, diffusing a delightful and relaxing aroma. That’s exactly the time when lavender flowers are harvested to end up in this airtight bag.
Effects of Lavender
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) or essential oil of lavender is added to many products. Shampoos and even cushions are given some lavender. This is because the violet-coloured herb contains the relaxing substance linalool. Lavender makes us a bit sleepy. It’s not yet clear how exactly that works. One of the indications is that linalool exercises a soporific effect on parts of our brain.
As well as sleeping well, you can also relax nicely with lavender so putting a bit of lavender in your vaporizer is really an activity to undertake in the evening.
What Temperature for the Vaporizer?
It’s best to vape lavender at a low temperature of 130°C. Some vaporizers cannot be set to such a low temperature. Our advice: set your vaporizer to the lowest temperature and stop vaping after two sessions. Replace the lavender used with a fresh instalment.
Brewing Lavender Tea - Lavandula angustifolia
You can also brew tea with these herbs. Use a fine tea sieve or tea egg for that. Fill the sieve or egg with herbs and leave it to steep in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes. Then enjoy it!
Not Suitable for Smoking
Our herbs are not designed for smoking. Smoking herbs is unhealthy due to the burning and we therefore don’t recommend it.
