The Frisian Dew is Dutch Passion's most popular outdoor weed. And for good reasons. Because this plant can take a beating, it is very suitable for beginners or growers who are experimenting for the first time with LST, HST, trellising and topping - everything is possible. With these growing techniques you will increase the yield of the plant.
She does very well both in full soil and in a large pot or specie tub. Frisian Dew is one of the most beautiful outdoor varieties we know. She inherited her purple-colored buds from the Purple Star. The relatively short flowering time of 8 weeks is inherited from Super Skunk. Not much comes close to this Hybrid with its light purple color and perfect 50/50 Indica and Sativa ratio. It is an absolute premium outdoor strain that every outdoor grower should test at least once.

Flavour and Effects
Because Frisian Dew has a perfect 50/50 ratio of indica and sativa, you can expect both a high and stoned effect from her weed. The nice thing is that you can control this yourself a bit. If you harvest her a little earlier, you will experience a more pronounced euphoria from the weed. But if you wait until the trichomes are completely amber, then she contains more CBN and you will get very stoned. The flavour also changes as she ages. The younger the fresher and the older the spicier. The underlying notes are fruity and floral. A top weed from the top shelf.
Growth and Yield
Frisian Dew is a real outdoor plant. She grows best in full sun or in a mega greenhouse. She doesn't like being indoors, although pre-growing is definitely a good idea. Let her (pre)grow in a bright room for 3-6 weeks before planting her outside. Dutch Passion recommends to pre grow outdoor plants indoors on an 18/6 light schedule. This will give you a stronger plant with a much better chance of survival.
She has a flowering period of about 8 weeks and between the end of September and the end of October she is ready for harvest. Even beginners will pick a few hundred grams from her beautiful buds, but the maximum yield is about 800 grams of fresh weed per plant. Keep in mind that the plant will grow 2 to 4 meters tall and about the same width. How big she gets depends very much on the circumstances, nutrition and especially light.
Frisian Dew is a plant with a lot of potential, with a light purple color and a very favorable stem/leaf ratio. The plant is not susceptible to fungus, which makes the plant very popular with outdoor growers. Also in northern climates.
How to Germinate Cannabis Seeds with Success
Let's start with what you should not do: Never put your cannabis seeds in a glass of water for more than 6 hours and do not place seeds in light - certainly not in direct sunlight. Also, do not put your seeds directly in the ground. Although this is natural, you have to realize that we as a grower can germinate much better than nature. A cannabis plant produces hundreds of seeds in nature; just because things go wrong so often.
Germinate your seeds with the proven coffee filter method or use our germination kit with included instructions. No Dutch-Headshop germination kit? Lay a coffee filter horizontally and spread your seeds in it. Moisten the coffee filter with lukewarm spring water and hang it on the inside of your kitchen cupboard, for example. Every day, preferably in the morning and in the evening, moisten the coffee filter again, so that your seeds never become bone dry. After about 5 days, but certainly within a week, the seeds will be ready to plant (root down).
