Flavour and Effects
Durban Dew has a slightly sour flavour. A bit like fresh lemon with a hint of other fruits. The effect of this sativa-dominant weed takes place mainly in your head, making you feel energetic and happy. This high is replaced with a narcotic body stone at high dosages, but with Durban Dew you won't be sitting on the couch. You feel good, relieved of stress and quite clear. The latter feeling is mainly due to the respectable THCV percentage in this strain.
But for that you need to crank up the temperature in your vaporizer to a good 220° C. Here’s our advice for optimal enjoyment of Durban Poison: to start with set your vaporizer to 165-170° C and only at the end of the session to 220° C. THCV can help to postpone the munchies and make the high euphoric for longer.
Growth and Yield
Durban Dew is very easy to grow. This is due in part to its great resistance to bad weather and mould. Although Durban Dew has been bred with a humid late summer in mind and can grow up to 4 meters tall in the garden, this Dutch sativa can also thrive in a grow room or greenhouse. The greenhouse must have enough room for this tree, because it grows faster than bamboo. At the end of the flowering phase you will need to keep an eye out for mould on the buds. She can handle a damp spot, but preferably make sure there is a roof when there is heavy rain.
Durban Dew can yield up to 550 grams per square meter indoors. Outdoors, 1000 grams is the standard rather than the exception.
For the expert growers among us: Durban Dew is no lightweight when it comes to advanced growing techniques. Bending, kinking, mainlining and supercropping; nothing is too crazy for her. These techniques create even thicker branches from which huge buds can grow. You can limit the height by topping or fimming. Then guide her with soft twine or a ScrOG rack to make her grow in width.

Using a vape will will prevent tobacco from making you lethargic and drowsy and, of course, from ingesting that harmful tobacco at all.
