Why vaping cannabis?
A weed vaporizer has many advantages. For starters, you don't need much equipment to vape cannabis. A vaporizer and your favourite weed is enough. You don't need any more rolling papers, tips, tobacco, a lighter or any other supplies. And did you know that vaporizing weed is for the connoisseurs? The taste of weed shows up better in a vaporizer. Vaping cannabis is done without tobacco and you can play with the taste and effect of your weed through the temperature settings. In weed there are all kinds of flavours such as terpenes and active substances such as cannabinoids (THC for example). Each substance has a different boiling point. Is vaping cannabis good for your health?
Besides practical benefits for stoners, there are also people who use a weed vaporizer for their health. Does that mean that vaping is healthy? No, we wouldn't say so. But in any case it is much better for you than smoking a joint or a bong hit for example. This is because burning weed releases all kinds of toxic substances such as tar, benzene and carbon monoxide. Because a weed vaporizer doesn't burn your green leaf, but vaporizes it, you don't have to worry about this. Especially when you vaporize the weed at a low temperature (around 160 °C), you inhale very few harmful substances. Vaping cannabis is therefore not necessarily healthy, but it is healthier than smoking weed.

Are you going to vaporize weed in a vaporizer? Then we would like to give you some tips. These are the most important things to remember. Keep these in mind. Then you'll use your weed vaporizer in the right way and you won't encounter any unpleasant surprises.
Can I vaporize weed with my vaporizer?
Not all vaporizers are suitable for dry herbs such as weed. Concentrate vaporizers, vape pens and so-called E-rigs (electric dab bongs) are not suitable for dry herbs such as weed. Do you want to vape with a vaporizer? Then look for a dry herb vaporizer. Many vaporizers can vaporize both weed and concentrates. Check the specifications of the vaporizer to see if you can vaporize weed with it.
Vaping Cannabis VS. Smoking: it is not the same
Are you going to buy a weed vaporizer? Please remember that vaping is different from smoking. Both the effect and taste are different. Because you don't use tobacco and the weed doesn't burn, you get stoned or high differently than when smoking a joint. Not to mention the experience. Small pieces of vaporizer weed
It is best to crumble the weed before putting it into your vaporizer. So make small chunks of your weed, for example with a grinder. But beware: you don't want the weed to be too fine. With an average grinder a few turns is more than enough. There is even a special vaporizer grinderr that crumbles your weed into the perfect consistency. You can also use your hands. Remove small pieces from the buds before you put it in your vaporizer.
Don’t overload it!
A very common mistake is to fill up the vaporizer to the point that nothing more can be added. This is not good for vaping cannabis. Fill the herb chamber of your weed vaporizer, but don't press down on anything! You want enough air to flow through the weed. This way the vaporizer works best. A compact package of weed, does not allow for air to pass through it.
Take long, slow puffs when vaping cannabis
Take slow, long puffs from your weed vaporizer. Do not inhale as hard as you do with a joint, cigarette or cigar. That is not the intention. Use little force and keep inhaling for 5 to 10 seconds. Then you blow out slowly.
Clean your weed vaporizer immediately!
If you often vaporize weed, your vaporizer gets dirty faster. The longer you postpone cleaning, the worse it gets. When weed residue stays in for a long time, it becomes more difficult to get it out. That's why we recommend to everyone: enjoyed vaping? Remove the used weed directly from your vaporizer and take a brush or an alcohol swab through it. These are often provided with your vaporizer. Which Vaporizer Weed?
One type of weed is not the same as another, but in a vaporizer you can use any type of weed. As long as it is dry. Moist weed in your vaporizer is not a good idea. You don't want to get an electrical device wet. Besides, damp weed doesn't taste very good either. It's not called a dry herb vaporizer for nothing. But to clear up a myth: there's no such thing as vaporizer weed. Just pick a weed you like and look at the effect the strain has. This is the only way to choose your favourite vaporizer weed.
Weed Vaporizer Temperature
As we said earlier, you can play with the taste and effect of your weed. This is because weed contains a cocktail of hundreds, if not a few thousand substances. The most well-known are the cannabinoids THC and CBD, but you will also find, for example, CBG, CBC, CBN and THCV in your bag of weed. These determine the effect of the weed. Then there are flavonoids and terpenes. These determine the smell and taste of your weed. A fun fact: terpenes also influence the effect of cannabinoids. This has to do with the entourage-effect.
Back to reality. You can set a vaporizer to different temperatures. Some vaporizers have temperature settings. For example 160, 180, 200 and 220 degrees Celsius. Other vaporizers can be set to one degree and then there are vaporizers with a fixed temperature setting. Whatever type of vaporizer you have, the temperature determines the taste and effect of your weed. We'd like to give you three examples of temperatures and their effects:
- 160 °C gives a mild high. This temperature provides increased focus, mild relaxation and a smile on your face. The three main substances absorbed in the vapour are THC, Pine and Caryophyllene.
- 175 °C gives a powerful high and also a light stoned effect. This temperature is recommended if you want to get slightly high, but not completely stoned. Besides the substances mentioned earlier, the three most important substances absorbed in the vapour are Delta-8-THC, myrcene and CBD. This high lasts longer than at 160°C.
- 205 °C or higher gives a strong stoned effect. Want to vape pure weed to get stoned? Then just pop it straight up to 205°C. This effect is closest to a joint. Nice and lazy, heavy eyes, deep thoughts and a food kick incoming!
Our tip for stoners: gradually increase the temperature while vaporizing the weed. Build up from 160 °C to 220 °C, for example.
